'RISE' is Extreme Sound Detective’s third release.

Once more, the concept was to pay a tribute to bands from the Black Metal scenes and expanding the researches about Satanism in an ever wider spectrum. There is always more knowledge to consubstantiate and essence to transubstantiate. And Black Metal is a decisive part of the musical roots of Extreme Sound Detective.

The revered bands are XASTHUR, LEVIATHAN, KRIEG, NACHTMYSTIUM & DRAUGAR - The five reigns of the USBM pentagram: TWILIGHT.

While reading the 'Malleus Maleficarum' (Heinrich Kramer & Jacob Sprenger, 1487), an intuition sparked about the fact that witchcraft, as Black Metal, is a pure revolution against the common perspective, an explicit threat to the Zeitgeist.

Witchcraft principally refuses the syncretic monotheistic manufactured orthodox dogmas and chooses to echo the organic original animism. The clergy should probably return to medieval scholasticism to take time to reconcile with- and nourish from widely existing philosophies. The basic questions are: how so synthetic precepts and highly arranged canons as the Christian scriptures can still appeal and serve as an idiosyncratic spirituality? And how something old, and contradictory, so misshapen by time and greed can still propose a contemporary truth? Nowadays, everybody knows why Christianity became the official stately religion of Ancient Rome, which founding Myths were used to generate the figure of the Savior.

To corroborate the intuition of the parallels and reverberations between "revolution" in socio-political point of view and "invocation" in a Theurgist way, terms issued from both semantic fields were mirrored. After determining connections and generating a network, a very simple word emerged: RISE!
